The global real estate investments company Deka Immobilien was restoring an upmarket office block at Les Corts district of Barcelona, and a brand new identity and signage design was needed. The point of departure for this project begins with the naming process: Alta Diagonal is based on the building’s location in the upper area of the city of Barcelona.
A customised font reinforces the Diagonal concept and defines a subdued and elegant identifying font type that matches the profile of the companies that inhabit the building. The signposting enters into a dialogue with the building, keeping to the modulation of the architectural elements for its optimal integration. The careful selection of the materials used coexists in perfect harmony with the quality of the architectural refurbishment plan for this emblematic building, drafted by the BAAS studio.
