Chukado – The art of Electric Pole Arrangement is a project by Japanese artist Akira Yamaguchi. Fascinated by the initial designs that Ikebana masters created when the first electric poles were introduced to Japan, Yamaguchi rediscovers the original spirit of that craft. With a style influenced by Ukiyo-e and Manga, he recovers the balanced proportions and angles the flower arrangers created for late 18th century engineers.
