András Arató (Hungary, 1945), better known as Hide the pain Harold, is a retired electrical engineer who became famous after modeling for a stock images photographer. In 2011, his characteristic facial expression transcended the stock-photo context and spread as a meme. In spite of initially rejecting the new use of his personal image, eventually Arató embraced his role as part of Internet culture, accepting his fame and transforming it into a nice example of how to live an unconventional senior life.
