Víctor Aurelio Chomón y Ruiz the second, or “Segundo Chomón”, was a pioneer of silent films. He was born in Teruel but worked many years in Paris where he later died. Fascinated by the advances of the Lumière brothers, he laid the foundations for current stop motion. His films imagination and special effects competed with those by the like of Miliès. The Filmoteca de Catalunya has a room dedicated to the recognition of his work.
