Vivianne Sassen is one of the most interesting photographers of our times. Somewhere between fashion, art and documentary photography, her work materializes itself in powerful images with deconstructed compositions, that are full of vibrant colors. Her latest work, Umbra, is a collaboration with designer Irma Boom. It culminates in an exhibition and a book, through which Sassen’s experiments bring freshness to a medium that seemed exhausted at a creative level.
