Hymns of no resistance by Slavs and Tatars is a music performance presented in 2009 at KAAI Theatre in Brussels. Lyrics of selected classic pop songs have been rewritten to refer to specific territorial, language or geopolitical issues in Eurasia. The program includes songs like She’s Armenian an adaptation from She’s a Maniac by Michael Sembello or Young Kurds, based on Rob Stewards Young Turks, among others, which were performed by Berivan Kaya and The Orient Orchestra, a Kurdish ensemble, using traditional instruments like the saz –a string instrument–, zurna flutes or darbuka drums.
