A Public Service Message from Guerrilla Girls is an activist project that, through the appropriation of traditional advertising techniques and media, made visible the endemic inequality of gender and race in the art world. It was started in 1985 by the feminist collective Guerrilla Girls in New York City and has remained active to this day, highlighting the deficit of action in this field.
