Exercices de style is a book written by Raymond Queneau first published in 1947. In it, Queneau re-writes the same story in 99 different ways, from onomatopoeic to telegraphic, through dreamy, operatic or metaphorical styles. Translated to more than 30 languages, the book has become a reference title amongst creatives since its publication.
