Martin was a german artist that lived through the Anti-painting of the 70’s, the Punk rockmovement and the Cold War.

He created his work and character through painting and music. Linking Punk to DADA he constructed a whole new language.

A language using inappropriate references, irreconcilable symbols, and provocative titles to satirize art, society, and culture, blending humor and critique.

Through his posters, he confronted the spectator to absurdity and embarrassment. No taboo remains unbroken.

They contain also a great sense of humour and randomness, while remaing strong vehicles of communication.

“My style is where you see the individual and where a personality is communicated through actions, decisions, single objects and facts.”
