Werner Herzog’s documentaries are a special case. Open-ended narratives, fascinating themes that are developed with the most absolute freedom of thought. Deep reflections, conceptually and visually speaking. A cinematographic vision that seems to work with thought as it emerges from the images. Between narration and introspection, his intriguing English-speaking voice with a German accent is always there to guide us through the images. Films that pose questions that each of us must answer for ourselves.
